Don Mayer Wins Division 2 (NH) Championship Tournament at Northwood and Bow Lakes

Michael Vining Wins Division 2 (NH) Angler of the Year

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) ……August 26, 2012…… Don Mayer is one step closer to the 2012 ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $352 in the American Fishing Tour Division 2 Two-Day Championship tournament held on Northwood and Bow Lakes this past weekend. Don weighed in 9 fish for 21.86 pounds in his come from behind victory. Michael Vining came in second with 6 bass weighing 19.56 pounds. Dan Szumiesz was in third with the only 2-day limit of 10 fish weighing 18.67 pounds. Michael Vining had the lunker with a 5.37 pound largemouth. Warren Mills had the lunker smallmouth at 2.19 pounds.

Michael Vining Wins Division 2 (NH) Tournament at Bow

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) ……July 22, 2012…… Michael Vining is one step closer to the 2012 ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $220 in the American Fishing Tour Division 2 One-Day tournament held on Northwood Lake this past weekend. Mike's 5 bass limit weighed in at 16.97 pounds. Don Mayer came in second with 5 bass weighing 14.79 pounds. Don Conrad was in third with 4 fish weighing 9.85 pounds. Warren Mills had the lunker with a 4.17 pound largemouth. Don Mayer had lunker smallmouth with 3.04 pounds.

Michael Vining Wins Division 2 (NH) Tournament at Northwood

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) ……July 8, 2012…… Michael Vining is one step closer to the 2012 ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $264 in the American Fishing Tour Division 2 One-Day tournament held on Northwood Lake this past weekend. Mike's 5 bass limit weighed in at 15.42 pounds. Steve Bosjlie came in second with 5 bass weighing 11.90 pounds. Don Mayer was in third with 5 fish weighing 11.70 pounds. Don Conrad had the lunker with a 3.56 pound largemouth. Garry Woodruff had lunker smallmouth with 1.70 pounds.

Winnisquam - May 5, 2012

Warren Mills Wins Division 2 (NH) Tournament at Winnisquam

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) ……May 5, 2012…… Warren Mills is one step closer to the 2012 ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $239 in the American Fishing Tour Division 2 One-Day tournament held on Winnisquam Lake this past weekend. Warren's 2 bass limit weighed in at 7.23 pounds. Jim McGuire came in second with 2 bass weighing 6.75 pounds. Michael Vining was in third with 2 fish weighing 6.28 pounds. Warren Mills had the lunker with a 4.33 pound largemouth. Jim McGuire had lunker smallmouth with 3.52 pounds.

Pawtuckaway - September 18, 2011

Michael Vining Takes First Place at Pawtuckaway Lake

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) ……September 18, 2011…… Michael Vining is one step closer to the 2012 ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $299 in the American Fishing Tour Division 2 Two-Day tournament held on Pawtuckaway this past weekend. Mike's 5 bass limit weighed in at 11.81 pounds. Don Conrad came in second with 5 bass weighing 8.25 pounds. Chad Braga was in third with 5 fish weighing 5.56 pounds. MIke Vining had the lunker with a 3.19 pound largemouth . Jim McGuire had lunker smallmouth with 1.81 pounds.

These anglers are acquiring valuable points to insure their birth in division’s two-day champion and the American Fishing Tour National Championship that will be held next fall.  Their points are also being used to determine the divisional angler of the year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent the division in the Angler of the Year final round.

The top five anglers were:

3 Chad Braga 5.56
4 Tom Sardinha 5.25
5 Jim McGuire 4.50

Conditions: Mderate (low-60s) and light winds with generally clear skies. The water temperature was around 68-69 degrees.

Winning Strategy: Mike targeted shallow weeds and rocks with various soft plastics.

Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be Sunday October 16 on Bow Lake at the State Ramp (conditions permitting). Divison 2 is locally sponsored by GRIZZ BAITS™ and we are proud to offer their great baits as prizes to anglers at each of our tournaments.
